Title: Ten Commandments Wide Game

Author: JEN Michael Gluckman

Age group: 7-11

Format: team game, collaborative group learning

Categories: Festivals and Fast days, shavuot, 7-11,

Description: This is an activity that enables lots of kids to get involved and work together to demonstrate their knowledge.  The kids are split into four groups and have to complete tasks that involve demonstrating knowledge and they then receive one of the ten commandments as well as a token.  Tokens can be given for good behaviour, working well together as a group, as positive reinforcement and then when all the commandments are collected they need to put them in the correct order and then choose which they feel is the most important commandment.  They have to then present why they think the commandment they chose would be the best one.  They will get tokens for how well they presented and how well behaved they are during the presentation.  At the end they will exchange their tokens for water bombs/balloons.  The activity finishes with a water balloon fight.
